IIS University was earlier known as The International College for Girls (ICG) established in 1995. Under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, ICG had been conferred with a Deemed University status and renamed as IIS by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The University has been accredited with an “A” grade certificate by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
